AIEEE 2014 or All India Engineering Entrance Examination is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for entrance into different undergraduate engineering and architecture courses in special institutes across the nation since in 2002. Generally 30 National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and five Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs) have admitted students through the AIEEE score. The examination is generally held on the last Sunday of April and Results are announced in the last week of May or the first week of June. Every year, millions of students participates the exam though only little percentage of students is eligible for central counseling. The duration of the exam is 3-hour/180 minute. AIEEE 2014 consists of CBSE syllabus. About 25% questions are easy, 50% are average and 25% are difficult. AIEEE 2014 is the most popular and favorite examination in India. Candidates are ranked on an all-India basis and state basis.
The question of AIEEE 2014 is familiar to syllabi of all the state boards in India and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Candidates can choose for question papers either in English or in Hindi idiom. AIEEE 2014 examination proceeds of 2 papers. First Paper is for B.E./B.Tech courses and Paper 2 for B.Arch courses. A candidate can select for any or both the papers. Paper 1 which included Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics, equivalent credit on different subjects, the paper can be attempted throughout offline or online. The test duration is 3 hours. Each section consists of numerous choice objective-type questions each of which has four choices.
Paper 2 which included Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawing Test, the first 2 parts i.e. Mathematics and Aptitude are objective types while the 3rd one is associated to the drawing of the images. This mode open for this is only offline that is on paper. Paper duration is 3 hrs .One candidate can sit in the only three times in following years.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) had been declared that 50% seats in NITs will be filled from AIEEE 2014 qualified candidates of states where NITs are located and the remaining 50% will be filled on All India Merit basis. While all of the seats for IIIT’s are being filled through All India Merit Basis. However, in 2011, as per the orders of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, CBSE conducted First Paper in Computer-Based online Test method for the first 1 lakhs candidates, who chosen for the same, whereas the remaining students took the examination in the conventional pen and paper mode. One candidate can sit in the only three times in following years.
CBSE has changed All India Engineering Entrance Exam into JEE Main from 2013. AIEEE has officially replaced with JEE Main. JEE Main Exam is alike AIEEE Paper which was taken place in two modes like Online and Offline. By clearing this test candidate will be permitted to take admission in different courses like BE/BTech/B.Arch in NIT’s, IIIT’s and CFITs. The IIT JEE exam for admission to the IIT has been replaced by the JEE Advanced. JEE Main best 1, 50,000 toppers candidates are eligible for JEE Advanced. Whereas JEE main is conducted by CBSE, JEE Advanced is conducted by IITs.
